I've seen lots of Japanese people getting married here in Spain and also in Italy and they were not residents at all. So I suppose that there could be a lot of paperwork involved, but it can be done

Hi Karris
If you decide Italy is your venue for your wedding you must must try and have Laura Frappa organise your wedding. She is the most fantastic planner and has weddings down to a fine art.
She will find you the best florists, the best photographers and the best venues. Always in contact with you and so dedicated to your weddding.
I married, religious Church wedding, legal and binding, in Capri two months ago and the wedding she organised for our 40 guests was incredible.
She will arrange all the legal paperwork, it was so simple. I had a pastor travel over from the mainland to ensure it was both legal and religous and he gave me so much scope to change wording around and add biblical readings. It was beautiful.
Enjoy planning your wedding and congratulations.
