Websites for special weekend offers for 4/5* in London?
 

Looking for a Fri/Sat stay in London soon. I know about Lastminute, laterooms, Priceline. Are there any great hotels own websites that might have good weekend offers? Other booking sites? Thanks.

Londontown.com often has good offers. Also worth a look are hotel-assist.com, londonnights.com, and simply-london.com.

ww.site59.com has some GREAT last minute deals.

It is definitely worth it to check the hotels website such as Hilton, Thistle, etc.

Also, we stayed at the Rubens Hotel across from Buckingham Palace and it has received good reviews on tripadvisor.com. They have last minute deals on their website you can check out:

Wotif.com also has last minute offers!

AccorHotels.com often has good last-minute deals. The Sofitel St. James (if available) would be a 5*, at least as rated by Priceline. I think they list some of their Novotel and Mercure hotels in London as 4*, but you would have to check into that.

David, Wotif was a new site for me. I appreciate the tip but found their prices misleading. When you do the search, they show prices for singles. It's only when you start to book you find out doubles are more.

And Lesli, I'd not heard of simply-london before. It had some very appealing offers but for longer stays (ie free 3rd night etc.)

For others reading this string, some more observations. Given the current exchange rate, nothing I've seen can beat the potential bargains on Priceline-especially since you're bidding in dollars. Site59 is best if you want an air/hotel package. Last minute prices are really only posted a week or 2 max ahead.

British Airways posted a really good deal a few days ago (maybe a week), that might still be valid. Round trip in World Traveler Plus and 3 nights at the Connaught for $1,400!!

Thanks Mel but we already have our tickets. Good info for others though. I'd love to try the Connaught some time!

Lastminute.com sent an advertising email last night with the Connaught for 149 pounds per night. Doesn't sound that cheap to me, but they were hawking it as a totally amazing deal.

WillTravel, that probably <i>is</i> an amazing deal. Unfortunately it's still more than I want to spend at these exchange rates. What I forgot to mention is Lastminute is now doing &quot;secret&quot; offers-meaning they are claiming, on some hotels, the price is so low the hotel doesn't want to be named so you're booking &quot;blind&quot; (like Priceline). They do show photos &amp; a map location, so I guess if you're really familiar with all the hotels you might be able to figure out what they are. I have looked to see (out of curiousity) if the Connaught offer is available on my dates but have so far been unsuccessful in finding it.

Check the Moat House Hotels website. They aren't 4 or 5 star, more like 3, but you can get some terrific deals. (We paid 75 GBP two years ago...also ended up with a free black cab to the Chunnel Train which we never expected!)
