In addition to Fodor's I used a website to help plan our trip to Ireland last year. I can't remember what it was, does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Acubsfan, I checked out those websites; but, I don't recognize the one I used. It involved someone who had traveled lots in Ireland and answered your specific questions. Anyone else have an idea? Also there was one that had great maps of Ireland.

Maybe this is the one you used. This is the more common one that I see people referring to. There's probably a few others out there.

acubsfan mentioned that one, and there is a q/a thing with Michele. She's very friendly and very helpful. Just click on the "free Q/A forum" on that site. But maybe you already looked at that.
I'm not sure about the great maps site though. I never found any really good maps of Ireland online (and acubsfan and I have about 80 more sites that she didn't list), but a really good map in the bookstores.

Otherwise, one of your best q/a websites is right here at fodors...

Pawleys, Yes I agree with you that the forum is a bit cumbersome on irelandexpert. I find the irelandyes forum to be more user friendly. They are two very different forum formats. Can you describe the map site a bit more so I can see if I have it bookmarked? Was it a distance/driving site?

Irisheyes, can't believe I've forgotten the map website. It was like Mappy but, better for Ireland. I think I printed out maps from it.

If you want to know more than just tourist information about Ireland before you go I suggest you read the Irish Times.Their premium site is free for 30 days if you register now at www.ireland.com .The Irish state radio and tv service is available at www.rte.ie.There are some attractive photographs and articles in www.irelandofthewelcomes.com
