Website for distances in Germany?

I would appreciate it if someone would be so kind of as to steer me to a website that gives the distances and/or driving time between cities and towns in Germany. Thanks in advance.

I use the Michelin website to calculate distance and driving times:

http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichel...oller/HomePage

You could also try this site http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/inc...n_redirect.jsp

And last of all, www.mappy.com - - not necessarily better for driving, but works well for "piecing together" maps of towns, if you want images for scrapbooks, etc.

Best wishes,

Rex
[email protected]
Make sure not to schedule your travel too tight. Major traffic jams are not an uncommon occurrence on Germany freeways. I don't know why this happens so badly there, but I have been stuck in several. I don't say this to worry you, as it has never caused us significant problems. I just wanted to let you know so that you wouldn't be surprised!

The advice from hljlaw shouldn't be glossed over, based on on at least one anecdotal personal experience I can cite. For thirty minutes, driving 170 kph, and then next thing you know, 30 minutes of driving 20 kph - - inching over several kilometers of bumper to bumper jam - - and just like in the US it just suddenly clears up, and you get no clue as to what might have caused it.
