Weather this time of year (Paris/Amsterdam/London)

I checked weather.com and it says low 70s as the high. That seems little chilly to me. Is it pretty cool or is it hotter?

Is there an example of a typical attire in this type of weather? Jeans and short sleeve top or long sleeve?

It's 100 degrees here I honestly don't remember what 70 feels like.

Sorry this is Farenheit scale... I don't know what equivalent in C is.

I live in London and today I think it MAY have made it to 70F. For about an hour. I had on capri pants with a short sleeved shirt and a fairly thick rain coat on top. It rained a little and it was windy. For a bit I took off the coat but mostly had it on.

If it is 75 all day, you will probably be hot in jeans if the sun is shining, but people will have them on. You may be better in capris or man-capris if you are a man. Today I saw a couple of people in parkas with fur lined hoods. Literally. I think that is a bit much. But a short sleeved shirt with something longer on top that can be removed was definitely in order.

Yesterday was warm (77)in Amsterdam, today cool(66), the weekend will be warm (72), they say. We very rarely get anything approaching 100 degrees, even in a good year, (thank goodness!) so anything here will feel chilly to you.
It has been a lousy summer with cooler temperatures than normal, but the 2 week forecast is for improving weather with it getting to high 70s. Amsterdam has humid heat not dry heat so it feels a bit warmer than it really is, but not much.
Bring jeans, short sleeved tops and a fleece or lightweight jacket, plus something waterproof. You will see poeple walking round in shorts, bermudas, 3/4 lengths, but we're used to the temps, you won't be.

My friend just came back from Paris this weekend and complained that it was freezing and rainy the entire time. Southern France was lovely though. You would need a light jacket and pants in all three cities.

I know exactly how you are feeling. We were in London the week of Juy 23 and the forecast said it would rain. In fact it did only on two occasions in the evening. It was slightly windy a couple of days, but that was it. Going from CA I found it to be humid as well. If you walk and take the tube everywhere as we did then I too would recommend capri's, short or no sleeve and a light jacket. The same clothing would be appropriate for Paris, although when we were their the following week it was warmer, and much more humid in my opinion. Enjoy your trip.

Paris has been relatively cool and rainy all summer, with maybe a grand total of 6 hot and sunny days thrown at random onto the calendar like lotto numbers.

Most Augusts for the past few years have been pretty hot - heatwaves. This year is cold and still fairly rainy (after an exceptionally wet and cold July). It's probably an aberrration and will be really hot again next year.

My strategy would be to pack things you can mix and match once you are there and see what the weather is. Tank top with a shirt over it, t-shirt with a lightweight jacket, light cardigan sweater over a blouse, like that. I hate to be too hot or too cold, so I always travel in clothes I can peel off as the day goes on, or put back on if the weather is cool.
