Weather in Paris in May

Help! We're going to Paris for the 1st time in 2 weeks. What's the weather like at this time of year? We're having trouble deciding on what to pack for the temperatures.

Should be mild, not hot, not cold. Should be, but may not be. The coldest we've ever been was the end of May one year. Had to buy thermal underwear. So bring for mild weather but throw in a couple of articles in case it gets cold (sweaters, turtlenecks). If you don't need them, be happy and blame me. And umbrellas, always umbrellas.

Paris avg. temps.for May, 20 and 10 C. with 12 days of rain. That is about 68 and 50 F.

www.wunderground.com <BR>When you access a forecast for a city, at the bottom of the "current conditions" table, you'll see a box for <BR>"Historical Conditions". <BR> I too once experienced cold and constant drizzle over the last weekend in May a few years ago. Temps were in the upper 50sF at most and I wore layers of clothing under my raincoat every day. <BR>Bring shoes that are both comfortable and that can handle the wet, and extra socks

The weather in Paris has been pretty crazy and unpredictable for the past year or so. Temperatures can be in the upper 50's one day, and drop down to 38° a couple of days later. <BR>Be prepared for chilly temperatures and lots of light rain and drizzle. <BR>Harold, Paris, France

Harold, I am coming home (Paris) in three weeks, any chance for a little warmer temperature? The last few May(s) have been bright blue sky and sunny... <BR>

I agree with Harold! And it wasn't just last year....Thanks to global warming, the past few years have been wierd, weather-wise, all over Europe. I'd keep checking the weather forecasts all the way up till the time you leave. Even then, make sure you pack prepared for any kind of weather. Last year (first week of JUNE!) we were freezing one day, and the next there were people sunbathing topless along the river.

Thanks for the help. I am checking the weather forecast every day - that's what started the panic! I was hoping for a little warmer and steadier temperatures. I'll take all your advice and be prepared to layer, layer, layer.
