Weather in Paris and Rome in early April

Hi,

We're traveling to Paris and Rome in early April for 2 weeks and wanted to check what kind of coat should we bring-- rain jackets, parka, wool coats? For sure we'll bring layers but not sure which type of coat to pack. Any suggestions? Will also check the forecast before we leave.

Thanks,
TM

Rain coat with a liner and a hood is my suggestion; that is what I am taking for my trip in late April.

This is definitely spring. Winter wool coats would be WAY too hot. A raincoat/jacket with a lining - and you will probably not need the lining - makes more sense, along with a couple of lightweight sweaters.
