Like most places, you can't be sure what it will be like until you wake up in the morning! I returned from 2 weeks in Paris on Friday. It was scheduled to rain every single day. We ended up with beautiful sunshine at least part of each day, only a couple of drizzly days and one good shower. It was wonderful!
I took a black microfiber raincoat with zip out lining and a few silk undershirts. The lining came out the first day and the silks never made it out of the closet of the apartment!
Regarding your color question, I noticed this trip more beige coats, as well as browns, grays and, yes, even pastels (light blue, especially). Also, lots of jeans tucked into high boots (warning: attempt this look only if you are under 30 and skinny) but also sneakers on everyone of every age--Pumas are big, but anything goes--except white.
Just don't forget your scarf!
Have a wonderful trip!
