Weather in May

Hey Gang,

I'm leaving for Greece in just a few days. As far as packing goes, I was just going to bring two pair of jeans. In your opinion, will it be too warm for jeans this time of year?

Thanks in advance!

Jeans should be okay, but weather in mid-May is unpredictable. It's best to hedge your bets and bring clothing for both hot and cool weather.

Where in Greece are you going?
If you are going to any of the islands, jeans are way too hot. I was there 4/2-4/16 and some days, on the islands, it got in the high 80's.
On the main land it was a bit cooler.
Weather.com might help.

I'll be on Rhodes, Santorini, then mainland Greece ...

The weather forecast says low 70's for next week which sounds fine for jeans, but now you've got me worried if you say it was in the 80's in April! :)

I guess I'll just have to pack both, just in case.

Often on the islands when there is a really warm April there will be a very cool May - you just can't predict. I have been in the Cyclades in mid-May when I needed a sweater AND jacket in the evenings, and it was too cold to eat outside. Jeans will be fine in the evenings, but you will need lighter clothing for daytime wear.
