Weather in March?

Trying to plan a trip to Ireland in March, 2000, but I don't know what the weather is typically like. I'm not interested in the beaches, I would like to travel and see the sights. Can anybody tell me what the weather is like during March?

Patricia,

I'm also considering a trip to Ireland next Spring. Take a look at the Irish Times website at www.ireland.com - they have historical climate stats for a number of cities. Hopefully someone else can give us some anecdotal info about the weather in March/April.

My favorite quote on UK weather is from an English bike mag on touring in the UK. "In summer the rain is warmer"
