Weather in Italy right now?

Hi everyone. My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon to Italy in under 2 weeks and we're wondering what the weather will be like! We're starting out in Venice, then on to Positano and Capri, then ending in Rome. Not sure how to pack, so any advice about weather and clothes would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It will vary widely between those 3 locations. I suggest you use the the weather channel site for a forecast about 10 days out. Good luck !

I returned from Rome on Saturday. The weather the previous week was sunny and in the low 70s during the day, 60's at night.

Jacquiro, it is very hard to predict the weather anymore. The best thing to do is to be ready and bring a blazer, a sweater etc.., I am certain that you will eventually need it. Rome can be sunny during the day, but when the sun goes down and especially in the evening can be cool also.

Go to www.slowtrav.com and find my list of 22 Travel Tips--including a packing list. It will be moderate in May, but you will need a wrap at nite.

Why not go to www.weather.com... for a ten day forecast as well as historical trends and averages for just about any city in the world? Select the World tab at the top and type in any country you want.

Right now I'm sitting in just shorts with window open at 10 am, in the city of Bologna. In other words, the weather is great

Pack layers.

Long term weather forecast in Europe are not accurate. We lack the extreme weather occurences that are rather common in the Usa, but ourr weather is also far less predictable. Usually you can have a decently accurate forecast only for the next day or couple of days, anything beyond that is purely a guess.

definitely agree with alice. Weather in italy is quite unpredictable. I believe the forecasters are wrong more often than they are right.
