Weather in Cadiz in August
I'm looking to rent a villa in Cadiz in mid August. Group will include young children. Is air conditioning necessary?
|
If history is any indication, expect temperatures in the low-mid 90s or 31-33, depending on your favored scale.
You decide. |
It depends on the building it is is an old traditional stone building then no. A new build that yes.
|
It also depends on what the renters are used to.

Past 17 years statistics for Cádiz in mid August says daily highs at 88-93F and night lows at 66F and an average of eleven hours sun pr. day (wetteronline.de).
3000 year old Cádiz (Gadir) is one of the oldest existing cities in Europe. Cádiz is a cradle of flamenco culture, it's known for the wonderful light, some of the finest beaches in the country, fabulous seafood and wine and the once very liberal 1812 constitution "La Pepa". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33JUrGwZQLY Sara Baras from Cádiz is arguably the most famous flamenco dancer today internationally. I know Cadiz is cooler because it is on the coast but Andalucia is wicked hot in August (as we say in Massachusetts).
