Weather In Budapest
Hi Everyone!
I wanted to know if anyone has been to Budapest in mid-late November. How is the weather around that time of year? I also plan to go to Prague and Vienna as well. And I have found out from other fellow travelers that it will be fairly cold in Prague in the 40s F. So I was wondering if Budapest will be more or less the same temperatures or if Budapest will be slightly warmer compared to Prague. Thanks! |

All 3 cities are are on the central european plain and usually have similar temps and weather (not exactly the same but similar). 40's is probably realistic and some rain fairly likely.

A fleece jacket should be sufficient. I would also recommend gloves and perhaps a hat. Dress in layers.
I know in BUD that once the heat is turned on, watch out, they crank it so high that as soon as you walk into any establishment, you will start sweating. I would suggest a light rain jacket as well. You can layer it with the fleece if needed or just wear that. Expect some gloomy days, but I love those the best, a nice coffee and torte in a cafe. A nice swim at Szechenyi. A nice walk along the river snuggled up to someone special. We visit BUD and coming from Florida, even in the dead of winter I only have a long sleeve tshirt, jeans, socks, hiking boots ,jacket with hat and gloves and I am not cold. Nov is nice, the tourist have all gone home and it is a real "local" culture. |
Thanks guys! You all were super helpful! I love the cold, and can handle it pretty well! So this gives me a good idea of what I should be packing! I know the trip isn't for another 3 months for me, but I am too excited so I want to do as much research as possible. ^_^
