Weather in Bavaria?

Taking the family to Munich, Salburg, Garmisch, etc in two weeks. Weather in Bavaria seems to be in the 70-75 degree range which would suggest long pants, no shorts and a sweater at night. Is that correct? Thanks for any input/suggestions.

Don't forget your lederhosen!

Fred,

We just returned from three weeks in Bavaria, etc. I would pack one pair of shorts just "in case".

The weather overall was very nice, but like any place else, it is variable.

A one sweater should do nicely.

Please be forewarned about the Garmisch area. Traffic will be absolutely awful. Just so you know.

We also spent 5 nights in Munich. Great city!!!!!! Even your children will enjoy the Hofbrau Haus.

Please email me if you want more information.

Dick

Dick

Prepare for rain. We have been in Bavaria many summers. You always get some rain unless you luck out.

You can use shorts on some days depending on the weather.

Oh, I envy you! Southern Bavaria and Austria is a trip to look forward to!
I would also tuck in a lightweight windbreaker if you have the room. If weather is warm, lots of tourists will be in shorts. Don't miss King Ludwigs castle in Fussen. Kids will love it!
We also carry a small pair of binoculars
to get a closer look at church and castle art. Have a great trip!

Today in Munich it was cloudy and looked like rain (but didn't) with highs around 70 or so. We went for a walk and wore jeans and sweatshirts and were a bit warm. You never can tell, though, in another week maybe it might be 75-80. Yesterday it was rainy and maybe 60. Brrrrrr....
