Weather in Barcelona in October?

Hello,
We are leaving for Barcelona Oct 8 & will return Oct 18. We are also spending 3 nights in Cadaques & Girona. What kind of weather can we expect for these areas? I'm trying to figure out what to buy/pack for clothing. According to weather.com, the average temps in Barcelona for the end of Sept is 75F. I appreciate any info. This is my first time to Spain & I can't wait to go.
Thank you!

In Barcelona the average Oct temp is 65 - meaning warmer during the day but chillier at night - so a jacket of some type definitely needed.

Statistics for a week in the middle of October in Barcelona, based on the fourteen past years: Day highs 70-75°F and night lows from 55 to 62°F. Daily average of five hours sun.

we were in Barcelona twice ( 2008, 2009) that time of the year.
It was sunny and warm during the day, but cooler in the morning and at night - a jacket is a good idea. Also, take an umbrella. It did rain on occasion.

I love statistics, they do not prove what is going to happen only what has happened. So to answer your question you have the answer, who knows!

Thanks to everyone who answered! This helps a lot & gives me a clearer idea of what to bring for clothing.

Go to the top of the page and click on Destinations. Once you get to Barcelona you will find that you can click on the weather for any 2 week period.

aznguy2011,
We had perfect weather in October! The temps in Barcelona were primarily in the 70'sF, although it was about 80F the day we arrived. We went to a cafe on the beach to relax & have a drink the day we arrived. People were swimming in the Mediterranean. In Girona the temps were a little bit cooler, in the 60'sF. We had primarily sunny days with a little bit of rain one day. I remember that weather.com predicted rain every day, but they were completely wrong & not dependable. Hope this helps.
