wearher-French riviera-provence in October
We have reservations for the French Riviera and Provence for the first two weeks in October. We are wondering about the normal temperatures and rainfall for that time of year so we can know what clothes to pack.
Anyone been there at that time of year. Would appreciate any help

We were in Provence the first week of October last year, and the weather was mild. I'd say maybe in the 70s and even in the low 80s on some days. We didn't see any rain, either. Bring a mixture of short and long sleeves and lightweight jackets/sweaters for the early morning and evening, when it's cooler, and you'll do just fine.

I was in Villefranche-sur-Mer the first half of October, 2004. I checked the weather before I left, for the 10 day forecast, and packed accordingly. It was varied..generally pleasant days, cool evenings. Layerd clothing. I lucked out with the rain, but it is best to follow the weather forecast just before you leave.........
