The answers have to be related in some way to France, French culture, French people, etc. Here's the link to the first post. There happens to be an unsolved clue still open now.

111op: It is generally medium difficulty--not as obscure as some of the Fodors ones can be, and not multiple answers in one puzzle usually. But it all depends on who is playing at the moment. One thing that makes it easier is we know that all clues are French-related, so that limits things. You can read through the thread and see what it's like. The current clue is about some dog in French lit.
