canadian band touring europe,june28-aug.9 need to rent a large van, arriving in amsterdam. looking for any type of van, that is reliable and can accomodate 6 people and instraments. within $1000-2000 U.S. dollars for six weeks.

I've looked into renting vans from AutoEurope before, though I haven't done it yet. Their prices were around $1300-$1700 (U.S.) last time I checked (last December). Check them out at www.autoeurope.com

Ask for a Ford Transit. It holds 6 with plenty of room to spare. Just not sure about your instruments but this van is big!

For $1000-$2000 for 6 weeks you'd be lucky to get a Fiat Panda! I'm afraid your budget is terribly unrealistic, even for a regular-sized car in the height of the tourist season. Then there is gas--very pricey. Sorry, don't have any constructive counter suggestions...
