When I was in Liverpool last month, we did a brief evening tour that included the Cathedral and a drive around Liverpool and ending up at Mathew Street. I'm sure we got a special rate because we were on a 2-week tour, but it cost us $35. The best part was--the tour guide, Marie Crawford, grew up across the street from Ringo and taught him to read. She knew all the Beatles and she and her husband spent the night in George's bed (without George, of course!) when the visited Ringo in London. You can Google her, by the way. She had little personal stories about the Beatles. She does tours all the time, I'm sure. You'd love that!
