Waze Navigation in Iteland? Or other?

Some family members and I are planning a road trip through Ireland in May. In the US I use Waze for GPS navigation. Will Waze work in Ireland? Or is there another iPhone app that someone could recommend?

GPS will work in Ireland, the satalites don't stop at the border :-)

Does Waze have downloadable maps or is it live mapping?

Even w/ GPS/Waze -- in the British Isles one really should carry a paper map (preferably a road atlas). GPS will be correct most of the time but definitely not always and they can get you into situations it takes a map to figure out.

Waze will work fine in Europe. Unless you have an Irish SIM card, just load your route for the day into your phone while you have WiFi.

Otherwise, you can download the Google Map for all of Ireland onto your phone and use that App for driving directions.
