Waterloo Station Late at Night

Hi

I will be visiting London for a week in late August with my sister, who will be there on business. On one of the days I would like to take a day trip to Paris on my own.

I will be taking the last train back from Paris to London, so I am looking for information on what Waterloo station and the area around it is like late at night. Are taxis easy to find? I'd just like to know what to expect.

Thank you

Lots of taxis to be found outside the station, no problem!

According to eurostar.com, the last train to Paris leaves Waterloo at 19:43 (20:09 on Sunday), arriving Gare du Nord at 23:23 (23:47). London is wide-awake at that hour, Waterloo station is bustling, and taxis abound.

Would you like to know about northern Paris around midnight?

Oops. Cerebral flatulence.

That's 22:57 at Waterloo, and there are still plenty of taxis.

I've been in Waterloo late at night alone and never felt unsafe. If there are trains running, there are people around.
