watercolour painter on tight budget seeks studio in Provence

I am looking for an inexpensive place to paint for a week or two in mid june. I am interested in la maison des Remparts in Saignon, anyone have more info on this place? How would I travel from Marseilles airport to Saignon? I am looking for a place somewhat off the beaten path.

I'm not familiar with the "Remparts"but it looks very nice. I love the village of Saignon. I think the name of where we stayed was Chambre avec View, many artists stay there also but no classes as at the Remparts.

You might check the Logis de France. They usually have pleasant budget hotels and most have a nice restaurant attached. If you're staying in one place, you could do half board or full board and save on food.

Their English language web site is http://www.logis-de-france.fr/uk/
The site gives you pictures of the hotel and rooms and often a web site. There are no reviews though.

Good luck.

cigalechanta,

Thank-you for your reply re Saignon, the more i discover about this village the more i am drawn to it. Your article on "chambre de sejour avec vue" made the place sound irrisistable.
Have you been back to this village since you wrote the article?
Your services for artists look interesting and I am glad to have "bumped" into you...perhaps we will chat again.
Thanks,
artbeat
