Water taxi reservations in Venice

We are travelling to Venice in a few weeks and are considering making advance water taxi reservations for our train arrival and 6:30 AM airport departure. Has anyone used Clementson? They offer a free, private trip from our hotel to Murano if we book both arrival and departure transfers with them. Has anyone used this firm? Other recommendations appreciated.

The price of your Murano transfer will most probably be included in the amount you will pay for the souvenirs you will certainly buy after the visit of a Glass factory.

May be the hotel you booked is so out of the way that you really need a water taxi in order to reach it easily from the Santa Lucia railway station. But be aware that trains arrive often late.

How much do they want to charge you for the water taxis?

The free water taxi to Murano probably means they'll drop you at one of the factories, where you'll get a glass-blowing demo and a little high pressure to buy. (The boat operator probably gets a cut.) If you can walk away, then fine. Just be aware of the game.

Someone above asked about the price. Good question. You might contact your hotel or another company to find out the usual charges and compare them with what the company is offering. I've only taken a water taxi from central Venice to the airport, and if memory serves, it was about 100 euros for two.
Never took on to or from the train station, so have no idea what the cost would be, but the location of your hotel might come into play on the price.

Thanks for the info. From the train station will cost about 65 euro. Since we have to be at the airport at 5 am on departure we must take a water taxi which will be about 120 euro. Prices offered by the hotel(adjacent to Rialto bridge compare equally with those quoted by the taxi service.

65 euro seems like a lot to get from the train station to the Rialto Bridge, but an early pickup to the airport for 120 euros does not.

I'd just take the #2 vaporetto from the train station and book only the airport transfer which you can do when you arrive.

I always thought the water taxi from the train station to Rialto would be around 50 euro, maybe someone else has done it and can comment.

I booked a private taxi for my sister last year through VeniceLink. She had a 5:45 am pick-up to catch her early morning flight. All went well. There was a surcharge for that hour of the day.
