water-taxi in Venice

My husband and I are flying to Venice in about three weeks. We are healthy but not the most fit. I do not have great balance. I thought it might be worth it to use a water-taxi since it would reach the hotel directly along with the luggage (in Mercerie) It this a good idea? Would the water-taxi give me a similiar experience as the motor launch entering Venice? We have been to Venice briefly before.

Take the water taxi - if you've been to Venice before, you know that the water taxi's are right outside the airport. I think the experience of travelling into Venice in your own taxi is unbeatable. Your can also tell your taxi driver which way you want to go....it's only $60 - do it!!

I would write to the Mercerie directly. Some hotels have a contracted rate with a particular water taxi company and might provide better service or a better price.
