Warwick train station to Warwick Castle
Taking my 13 year old nephew to Warwick Castle in December and will not drive. I see that there's direct train service from London Marylebone station to Warwick station and that the castle is about a mile away from the train station.
Haven't been able to find info re: how to get from the train station to the Castle. Does anyone know? Thanks! Pat. |
It was a nice day when we visited; so we walked from the station to the castle and from the castle to the station.
I believe there is a taxi rank at the station, though. |
More like half a mile looking at the map. Nobody here would take a taxi for such a short journey unless they were disabled. About a twelve minute walk through the town centre - just follow the signs to the castle. Be sure to get off at Warwick station (not the Warwick Parkway, which is out of town).

Did it a few years ago. Easy walk through the town. Had a late lunch at a pub on the way back to the station. Have a grand time.

thank you all for the responses. I thought the castle was further away from the train station than a 10-15 walk. We'll play it by ear and walk if we can. My sister has a bum knee and I'd rather she use her energy & stamina to walk around the castle than walk to it then want to sit the rest of our time there.
