Warsaw??

Hi,

I'm contemplating a cheap weekend away in Warsaw and i was wondering what people's opinions are of the city.

I have already visited Krakow in Poland and absolutely loved it.

I was in Warsaw for a couple of days and really was glad I saw it.
The old town square area was rebuilt after the war, as it had been and it's really a beautiful square.

I'd go back . I liked it alot.

I enjoyed Warsaw, actually, a lot more than I was expecting to! The Resistance Museum is fascinating, and the city is very walkable. You can read about it here: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34841274 if you'd like a little more info; it's about halfway down the report as I went to Krakow first.

Hi
we were in warsaw a few years ago. we spent about a week there. The resistance museum is interesting. We also followed the path of the Ghetto Uprising. Visited sites from the Warsaw Uprising, the royal Palace. The remains of the old Jewish quarter, which became the ghetto. The old town was very interesting, though it has been rebuilt as has Warsaw due to the Nazi destruction of the city. The restaurants in the old town were interesting. There was a restaurant specializing in Pirogi and other local food. The Borscht tasted better than I've eaten. We felt it was a city that should be seen.

Ah, yes, we ate in a small cafe in the square and had the most delicious perogies.
Also, don't know the name of the street, but from the town square, we walked down a beautiful street lined with many restaurants.
