Warren Street to London City Airport very early in the morning
Hi,
My stay in London is near Warren Street. I have an 7 AM flight from London City Airport.
To reach London City Airport, before 6 AM, the TFL website shows -
a bus journey from Warren St. Bus Stop starting @ 5.08 to Baker's St,
then Jubilee Line Tube Journey to Canning Town and
a DLR Journey to the Airport, reaching @ 5.55.
Can these timings be trusted or should I simply book a Taxi to reach City Airport ? What is the likely driving time to City Airport from Warren Street (W1)
Thanks in advance for the guidance from Fodorites.

I find them fairly accurate, but why dont you try booking a car service like www.justairports.com and see if the quote is reasonable (looks like £25-30). Saves the hassel and worry if cost isnt a big deal.

At that time of the morning, traffic along Euston Road is not likely to present a problem for buses, which would otherwise be the weak link.
Although it looks a bit odd to go west to go east, getting the bus a couple of stops to the nearest point on the Jubilee Line makes more sense than other ways of connecting, and the Jubilee Line is normally as fast as they say it is.
A car or taxi could do it in about 30-40 minutes at that time in the morning, though you never know whether early rising lorry drivers might cause a jam the further east you go, just as you never know whether there might be some snarl-up with the tube signals.

Oh no, don't book a cab! You can totally the bus and train as listed on TFL. The times are very accurate, esp. in the mornings! You'll save money, and it won't be crowded that early so you'll have plenty of space.
