"Hysterical thread."

Thanks Elle. Many people believe that only Moirans like puns and pun-like humor, and that this type of humor is just a Lezay way to make people laugh. As I fill my Belley with Vittel(s) tonight, I think the Roncq and file on this board enjoy a good laugh now and then.

Suze-la-Rousse, that swinging gal from Moscow, had a big Gap in her life. She hugged her lover Le Poet Laval (no Shakespeare, he) and purred "I'l take no Nyons from you, mon cher, we're heading to France! I've got Aix en Provence and it's been Toulon since I've had a Nice massage!"

Darnétal, if I didn't think of a few more.

Gassin - What a Frenchman does after eating too many beans.
Mamers - Thugs who alter people's appearance or groupies of the play "Mame"
Carnac - Character of famous French late night host.
Begles - Dough product that tastes good with cream cheese.
Nolay - French guys who are married

Now, some of the rest of you, go ahead and Joigny in the fun.

In 1968-69 I spent the school year in Albi as an "assistante d'anglais" and a group of us would sometimes go to a night club on the outskirts of town to dance. Every time they played a James Brown song that was popular at the time (can't think of the name, off hand) the whole place would periodically break out in cheers. It took me a while to realize that they were reacting to JB's shouting, in his inimitable way, "Well I'll be!"

Thanks for reminding me of that lovely year in "I'll be"!

What's that Lille cracker I see over there? Could it Biarritz? I'm hungry -- I feel like Avignon right now.
