Stilwet, I'm also a part time musician, and have been for many years. The one kind of music that gets everyone from 16 to 60 dancing is good ol' 3 chord, 50's and 60's rock and roll! I agree the Bee Gees are talented, but not my cup of tea.

Stilwett: We Boomers are looking to have great times in the comming years. Lot's of traveling while collecting Social Security, while you work harder and harder to foot the bill. Enjoy.

Just returned from Rome and Ostia Antica, and found, tou our listening pleasure, that Bob Marley was the musical choice at the cafeteria. This made us quite happy as we sucked down our gelato.

As for the ruins, they are awesome! They stretch out across fields and many of these ancient homes and buildings are covered with vines and flowers. There are staircases leading up to missing second stories, mosaic floors, even ancient marble furniture... all original! It was wonderful to ditch the map and just explore. We did so for at least an hour without seeing a single other person! It was definitely worth the trip.

You can take the metro and then a train to Ostia Antica, which is near Fiumicino airport. We had an adventure on a 2.5 hour riverboat cruise to Ostia with about 50 Italian ladies. This is a boat that even the locals aren’t aware of. It’s hard to find, but if you can, it’s a lovely peaceful LONG trip out to the ruins.
For more info, email me at [email protected]

- Alice

We brought home a lovely rash.

As for the ruins, they are awesome! They stretch out across fields and many of these ancient homes and buildings are covered with vines and flowers.
