warm water in the azores
 

we're planning to travel to the azores as part of our vacation to portugal. we'd love to hear from any one who has been to either sao miguel or santa maria about whether the ocean is warm enough for swimming and what the beaches are like. any other tips are appreciated! thanks!

I only been to S.miguel once are you going in the winter or summer? I'm from terceira island in the azores swimming in the ocean is much warmer when i was in s.miguel the pool i try was like ice so i would go with ocean,but if you go in the winter it may be chilly .
