Warerfalls and Cliffs on the Spanish Pyrenees Ordesa Valley Hike:
 

Great set of photos here, with lots of waterfalls and sheer rust-colored cliffs, from our hike in the Spanish Pyrenees. This hike passes a lot of emerald waterfalls and pools and passes into a wide-open boxed-in glacial valley. The far point of the hike has a nice waterfall. I recommend doing what we did - hike out on the low trail, and then divert onto the upper trail on the way back. The low trail is very easy. The upper trail is easy except for the part near the parking, which is about 2000 feet of steep switchbacks, so best to do that part going down..

No need for a guide. We showed up in town the night before, then caught the shuttle bus at the big parking lot in Torla around 9:20 AM. Private drivers aren't allowed into the park during the peak summer months. And they limit total visitors per day, so you need to catch one of these shuttles relatively early - before 10 I think. The shuttles run very often, so when you come back from your hike, you'll be able to catch one in no more than a half hour.

Thanks Adelaidean! It was a challenge to catch it when there was sun on the cliffs since it was mostly cloudy. This was a nice surprise, since the two guide books we had really didn't any decent photos of the hike.
