Wanting to get an short let apartment in London?

I'm needing to stay in London for about a month and a half for a family affair. My budget's limited and I've heard getting an apartment is the easier than staying at a hostel or hotel.

But I'm not sure what sites to use to find an apartment. Which ones are the best and safest to use?

If you search below you will find a large number of sights/companies that rent for tourist visits but that is much more often a week or so. However, using them you might be able to get a discount for a longer-term stay.

Try www.ownersdirect.com, or www.vrbo.com.

I'm not sure how big of an apartment you want, but my husband has stayed in a nice studio apartment at Notting Hill Gate and Kensington Church Street. They're called the 202 Apartments. Here's the web site: http://www.202apartments.com/

"<i>My budget's limited</i>"

How limited? How much do you want to spend for a flat?

Limited as in 1,000$ or so.

I'd only need a small one or even a guest bedroom that someone lets out. I'll try those sites though, thanks!

$1000 (£630) for what? per week? per month? For the whole 6+ weeks?
