Wanted: Munich Lodging

I need rooms for a couple of nights next month in Munich. Gastehaus am Englischen Garten is full. Can anyone recommend an interesting place to stay? Preferably in the $100 or less category. Not too price-conscious, but I don't want a luxury hotel.

Hello Judy! Well, I can recommend the Uhland hotel. It's a *** hotel and may cost a bit more than $100, but it's definitely not a luxury hotel. Rather, it is an "old time" family-type hotel located in a munchen quaint building. Very enjoyable... Check out www.munich-online.de for other options.

Also stayed at the Hotel Uhland. We had a great time an loved the place. We payed less than $100.00 with breakfast(about $75.00 thru the internet), but then we were there in april. We highly recommed it.

Have stayed at the Hotel Uhland four separate times during the past six years. Great value, nice, clean rooms, friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast. Great location...one of the best deals in Europe.

Last year we stayed at Hotel Jederman. Its right across from the train station and within walking distance of downtown. They have a homepage (Search for Hotel Jederman) and you can make reservations via email. They also have a computer in the lobby, so you can email your friends tell them what a great time you are having.

(My last post didn't go through, so I hope I don't duplicate here...) Thanks so much for these responses - I have now made reservations at Hotel Uhland - You're great! Judy
