Want to finalize trip - need help

Just posted a message but now can't find it through usual search methods so am re-writing - sorry for redundancy.

Am trying to finalize trip for Sept. asap.

1. am planning to fly into Marseilles - stay 2 nights to see sights, etc.
2. am driving to St. Remy to stay a few nights to see surrounding towns/sights.
9/30th-10/2nd
3. then driving onto Moustiers St. Marie for one night to see Gorges du Verdon
4. then driving to Nice for one night, 10/6th, to catch flight home on Sat. 10/7th

Questions:
do you think we can just base ourselves for more nights in St. Remy to see other sights/towns east or should we move onto Gordes for 2 nights to see Apt, Bonnieux, etc.
Also, can we drive to Nice airport within a reasonable drive time from Moustiers St. Marie without staying in Nice and save Cote d'Azur for another trip. This would extend our stay in either St. Remy or Gordes or Gorges du Verdon area if this is possible. I think we can catch an afternoon flight back to Boston area.
Appreciate the advice and hope this makes forum.

Yes, that was my point in referring you to the thread I chose.

You can't change the message header... so please... do re-post...

St Remy is pretty far from Gordes and Bonnieux.
It depends on what you like. St. Remy is more of a metropolis--though beautiful, charming, with lots of restaurants, shops, and an old feel, while Gordes and Bonnieux are hilltop ancient villages--much quieter and more of a relaxed feel. My hubby and I personally preferred staying in Bonnieux. Beautiful, peaceful, great food and the views are gorgeous.
St. Remy wasn't as special to us.
If you're staying in St. Remy, personally I'd do one night there and 2 in Bonnieux or Gordes.
But again--it all depends on your personal preferences.

Nice is about 3 hrs from St. Marie if that helps.
