Want to discover a new beach!
Am planning a trip for July and I like a beach vacation and my husband needs to be more entertained than just sitting and relaxing. We would both like an active nightlife. We have been to Hawaii, Mexico, & various places in the Carribean. Can anyone suggest a place in the Mediterranean that would please us both?

Nice or Monaco come to mind. I thought the beach in Monte Carlo (the one we visited) was kind of dirty so you might want to get another recommendation for a nice beach there.
I really enjoyed the large rocky beach in Nice...bring swim sandals though...and Nice is a great city - lots to do in the area - in between and around Nice and Monaco too.

Sardinia, it has the most beautiful & varied beaches of anywhere that I've been thus far. My trip report from this past August:
