Wamu emergency money

I just talked to a wamu representative and she said that if there is a problem using their atm card that they would send you emergency money. So I think a lot of reps are the first people you talk to on the phone, but if you ask for a manager they should tell you that. I think they will bill you, but there is no fee to get that done for you. So maybe that will help people out and not be so scared about Wamu.

Caroline, it's because they've changed their debit cards and some people are reporting problems using them in Europe, despite assurances from Wamu that they'd work fine. If you've got back-up cards, then it's not a big deal, but it's an understandable concern if a traveler was going to use the Wamu debit card as their primary source of cash while traveling.
We're former Wamu customers, before they became so big and we did like them, but perhaps things have changed too much.
