Walking Tours in March in London?
 

My husband and I will be in London in March. A Fodorite recommended the walking tours because we enjoy Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and such. So far, all the input from everyone has been fantastic so here I am - wondering - is March in London walking tour weather? Or would other points of interests be recommended during that month?

I've done walks in December and January, wearing coat scarf, hat, gloves, boots..... it's a wonder I could walk :-) I will also be doing walks in March, can't wait. Last time I was in London I did the 'Soho in the morning' walk, I think that's what it's called. It was great and took me places I would never have found on my own, I'm taking my husband on this one in March. Hope you have a great trip :-)

Thank you, Mischka! Sounds like an excellent choice for us. My husband just wants to know if they stop at any pubs during the walking tour? I guess it would then become a staggering tour, hmm? :)

I've been in London twice in March. In 2002, it was so warm we had to buy some t-shirts for the daytime! The other time it was chillier, but I'm from New England, so I didn't find it particularly COLD. A warm sweater should be fine for walking in London in March- and perhaps a jacket if you're from a warmer climate.

The Original London Walks morning and afternoon walks do not stop at pubs, but they may end at a pub. In the sense, that the walk leader might say, "I am going into that pub over there, if anyone wants to join me, they can. If you do not, the tube station is...". Or, "The Cuyrefg & Pjoyuifbj at the corner is a nice pub, if anyone wants to go. If not, follow me to the tube station".

Evening walks specified as pub walks will generally stop at two pubs and end at a third, at which again the leader may or may not go into. Other evening walks (ghost walks, J the R, etc.) will usually end at a pub.
