Walking tours and organized strolls of Paris

Does anyone have experience with any walking tours in Paris that they care to share. I simply love to stroll through the parks of great cities and bring a picnic lunch of local specialties that I buy in an epicerie or depanneur. Merci beaucoup.

My first trip, I did the Pan American cassette walking tour, and enjoyed it immensely. I think it's out of print. I know PanAm is.

There was a discussion of this in this forum last week under the heading "tours in English in Paris" that included some info on walking tours. Sorry I don't know how to post the thread but it's easy to find!

There is a set of cards that outline walking tours of Paris and what you are passing. Maybe someone knows about them.

If you prefer self-guided tours, there are a number of audio guides you can load into your MP3 player and wander at will. Check out

Some people have mentioned this and a friend of mine used them last May....he really liked them.

I have those walking cards Gretchen mentioned.
City Walks: Paris

I got them at Restoration Hardware in January...I don't think they carry them anymore. You can buy them online at Chronicle Books.
