Walking Tours

Would appreciate feedback and recommendations on walking tours for the following cities: Madrid, Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, Toledo. General overview tours as well as specialized ones on food, wine, art, ....... . Or off the beaten path. Prefer small group method without a brutal pace.

Sevilla Walking Tours is the first one I found on my own.

My thought was that this would be a great way to get a basic orientation to a city/neighborhood and we could always go back to due further exploration or eating and drinking after the tour.

Google walking tours or check a guide book and you'll find lots of options.

I used Viator in Barcelona. They are a consolidator who use local agencies to conduct the tours. The one I took used staff from the Barcelona tourist office

I know people who have used Sandeman Tours and thought they were good tours. They are free but you give the guide a good tip as the guides don't get paid from the company; they are dependent on tips.

Thank you. Looks like you can find self guided tours as well, but going on an organized tour with a local guide might be a good first day activity.

The City of Madrid offers low cost great walking tours.
Check out the official Madrid website at www.esmadrid.com. Click on the menu item "Always".

This website has a lot of information.

If you go to the tourist office web sites for each city you'll find tour options.

Here's some info from the Cordoba TI.
