Mike is being deadly serious, there are now 6 or 7 farms in England with confirmed cases of Foot and Mouth Disease as far apart as Northumberland and Devon. It is imperative that people keep away from footpaths that cross livestock farms to help try and stop the further spread of this awful disease. If you want any more news on the subject look at the BBC or any of the British newspapers web sites.

The week before Easter is likely to be busy as the school holidays will havw started. Easter weekend Friday 13th to Monday 16th is also holiday time for offices and factories. I'd play safe and book in advance.
Distances- Bath to Bibury less than an hour by car. Bibury to Burford again less than an hour.If I had to choose between Bibury and Painswick (I'd choose PainswicK)
Foot and Mouth Disease. This is a serious problem and could affect your arrangements as all walking across farmland esp where there is livestock is currently banned until the outbreak is controlled. I live not far from the Cotswolds and we had to confine our weekend walking to the roads.

An alternative would be to book a 4-night HF Holiday (www.hfholidays.co.uk). They have a house in Bourton-on-the-Water. for more information do a search here under HF Holidays and UK.
