Walking in Florence

Just wondering if it is advisable to walk from Santa Maria Novella train station to our B&B on via Della ghiacciaie next month. Perhaps a taxi would be a better idea???

It depends on how far up that street from the front of the station (which B&B?) but with luggage I'd take a cab. I've never felt unsafe in Florence, but I've never stayed on that end of the train stations and this isn't the most visually appealing area of Florence.

Advisable in what way?

The streets IMHO aren't really luggage wheel friendly. I wouldn't want to drag heavy bags around Florence.

Distance? Depends on your walking ability.

Safety? During the day it should be perfectly fine.
