Walking from Venice train station to Hotel Pausania, Dorsoduro

Jump to last reply

In the 2nd week of September we'll arrive in Venice by train from Florence, and plan to walk to our Hotel Pausania on the Fondamenta Gerandini along the Rio San Barnaba in Dorsoduro. It's between the Ponte del Pugni Bridge famous for fistfights, and the Santa Maria dei Carmini Church. our

From the map after crossing the Scalzi Bridge it looks to be about one mile weaving through back streets and crossing several canal bridges. We could take the vaporetto to Ca Rezzonico dock, but it will likely be too crowded with luggage and we enjoying walking areas away from the Grand Canal.

In a prior trip we walked to our San Palo area hotel near the Rialto Bridge following building street signs marked "Rialto" and "San Marco".

QUESTION: In our walk from the train station to Hotel Pausania in Doroduro what street signs should we follow?
