Walking around Winchester

Winchester is much more than the iconic cathedral of the song from the 1960's. If you would like to see a photo tour of the County Town of Hampshire, I invite you to take a look here: http://tinyurl.com/mk2e6d

"It is almost a shame that England will soon look like Provence due to global warming."

Not much chance of that right now.

Anyway, few climate experts agree. "Global climate change" in the new vogue term. It's supposed to mean wetter, more stormy (though) weather for Britain and higher sea levels. Winchester's only 15 mins by train from the nearest bit of coast, so all thgat Queen Anne's Lace will just be even more burgeoning.

I tend to agree with Fanners after this mornings SKY news report where an expert climatologist or similar (he looked incredibly intelligent!) revealed that the sun's debris controls our climate and not carbon dioxide as we all think - and that our weather is cooling until 2013 when the next cycle of the sun will start a warming process.I know Queen Anne's Lace is a weed but I absolutely love it and it brings me joy to see it all along the roadside everywhere you go in Great Britain and even in Ireland!

I used to live in Winchester so that little lot brought back some memories.

Me too.

When did The Market Tavern change it's name?

Even though I find the photo essay fascinating... I have never been to Winchester!

winchester IMO is a real gem that many tourists overlook in their mad dashes to Stonehenge, Oxbridge, Shakespeare Town, etc.

With regard to Palenque's post

And, I'm quite content to keep it that way.
