Walked all over Paris using Sidekix app

Not really a question. I just wanted to share an app I used when I went to Paris on my last trip. Wanting to walk most places I found an app called Sidekix from the app store and downloaded it to my Iphone. It was the best app I've ever used. I just entered an address for where I wanted to walk to and using the GPS it took my right where I wanted to go by foot. I honestly walked everywhere in the city using this app. It works for many destinations. If anybody has used it let me know. I just wanted to share my experience since it helped me so much.

Sounds interesting, does it use data or do you have to download the maps? Is it just for Paris, or other cities too?

I'm curious, too. How does it differ from something like Google Maps where you put in an address, click on "directions", and then click on the walking man symbol? That usually gives walking routes and times, as well.

OK, now I see. I looked up the app and it not only gives you directions, but comments on places of interest along the way. Sort of like the guide gadgets you rent in museums, but for the streets. This one lets people flag good restaurants, etc., as well.

Could be useful.
