Walk & Lunch in between the Colosseum & St Peters

Jump to last reply

We have a 9:40am tour at the Colosseum and after that will go to the Forum & Capitoline Hill. In the afternoon we will go over to see St Peters Square/Bascillia & Castello Saint Angello.

I'm wondering if it would be best to walk, taxi or public transport between the two areas. Bear in mind I LOVE to walk, as does my sister. Her partner not so much - but she's pretty easy going so if the walk is worth it all will be great. I was thinking about walking through Trasteverre and having lunch there, but not sure best route or best idea.

Either way, where would be best to get lunch? My sister is a vegetarian. We won't want a big sit down meal.

Thanks,
H.
