Waldorf Hilton London - anyone stayed there recently???
Hi:
I'm able to use my American Airlines advantage miles for Hilton Hotels. We've chosen the Waldorf Hilton London (not available in the other parts of Europe we'll be in) - is it worth it? We've been to London before but like the area of the hotel. Any input much appreciated. Thanks, Carol |
You may do better just to purchase the room. It is 4* Mayfair, $105-$110 on Priceline. I stayed there in October and loved it--marble floor, huge walk-in closet, mohair throw and beatiful health club with indoor pool. Only 5 minutes from Covent Garden.

Pilgrim are you saying you can purchase it outright on Priceline? What if you get something else instead?

Hi Patrick
I travel often to London on business. Each time I bid 4* Mayfair $105-110 ($110 more recently because of the exchange rate) I have received this property. Go to biddingfortravel.com. A number of us post our winning rates for certain zones on Priceline. This is a very safe zone. Any of the other options are nice, but this is a consistent win for me. Don't bid around $85, however, because that's the going rate for the Thistle. It's a good enough property, but the rooms are not as nice as the Waldorf. Priceline puts you in a property as close to your bid, so certain ones are consistently over $100 and others are less. Hope that makes sense. Save those miles for another vacation perhaps! |
Someone just got the Holiday Inn Mayfair on BetterBidding for a bid of $104. I think pilgrim's strategy is risky if you want only one hotel.
