Waffle towels
 

When I was in Italy some years ago, I fell in love with the thin waffle towels. Wasn't able to buy any then, but would love to try and find some during my visit to Paris. Suggestions?

I also love those towels. I discovered them in Siena. In fact, I wrote the hotel that I stayed at to see if I could find a place to purchase them online. I was told they lease those towels from their local laundry. I could not find this laundry online. If you do find them would you please update this.

Oh here! Funny, I never knew they were called waffle towels. And now that I just googled waffle towels I got this...

When I came back from China in 2001 I looked for them and could not find them anywhere. I had forgotten about them until I read your post. Doing a search, it looks like everyone from Dillards, to Bed Bath Beyond to Target and Wal Mart sell them now.

they don't wash well, the borders shrink, at least in the ones I bought,
