vouchers

What if I don't use all the vouchers? Can I get cash back for them? On the rental car voucher, If I find a better deal, will they give me the difference back in cash?

You question is completely incomprehensible. You need to tell us the circumstances. What country? What company? What vouchers?

(And have you looked at the information you have about whatever vouchers you're talking about? Or called the people you got/would get them from?)

kherb: Welcome to Fodors. We are very helpful around here - but we are not mind readers.

What country? Other than the rental car, what sort of vouchers? What company(s)

BTW - no matter what country/sort - I'll be willing to bet you can not get a cash refund for un-used vouchers nor a refund of any difference

nytraveler, your point could be made in a much kinder, wanting to be helpful tone. I assume that the vouchers are for B&B's or another type of accomodation, and a rental car. And yes, you are right, each individual company operates in a differet manner, and it would be best to ask the issuing company this question to get it from the horses mouth.

On a recent trip to Italy I had a paid rental car voucher that I did not use, and so was able to get the $1000 refunded.

This was an AutoEurope voucher, and I was well aware of the refund policy.

Sandy -

Sorry if I'm slightly impatient with someone who asks a question that makes no sense.

I'm sorry I'm not one of those joyous always smiling people - but respond in a way I consider appropriate to the question. (I didn't say - you blithering idiot - how the hell do you expect us to figure out what you're talking about when you leave out all the pertinent info - that would have been unkind.)

I had found a better deal that AE would not match (they claimed it was a different vehicle class), and so I simply rented from the other co. (Thrifty).

AE policy is to cancel before the end of the rental period and you can get a full refund.

As other have suggested read the fine print on your vouchers, or from the site where you purchased them.

Others on this website have mentioned expedia vouchers, so the OP might be talking about those. I'd sure love to find out how one gets them.

By the way, SandyB, could you tell me where and how I should get my money and how much?
