Vote! Down to these 2 Rome apartments...

I have narrowed our choices to these 2 apartments for our first trip to Rome. We have travelled quite a bit in France and love the freedom and feel of staying in apartments. I love to cook and it looks like I can do some cooking in each apartment.

I am mostly interested in LOCATION comparison. The pictures and reviews are good for both.

Any input on rental agencies also appreciated. THANKS!

They're both a 5 minute walk from Pza. Navona, but I think the first one is better located. Closer to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and other places in that general direction.

#1. No street traffic as it's in a pedestrian zone.

#2 is open to cars.

Both locations are fine; I would have a slight preference for the one on Vicolo della Palomba, as it's pedestrian only.

LOL, I was going to vote for Banchi Vecchi!

Both are great. There are some cool stores on Banchi Vecchi.

Buon viaggio!

DebitNM

I wonder if you went on this trip. We had rented the first apartment above, and they cancelled on us with little notice.

I would have posted on this before but just saw it now that I'm searching for Rome apartments. I will try to post this on FB.

tuscan...I'm curious if the rental company did anything to provide an alternative when your apartment was cancelled?

We have rented from rome accommodations in the past and everything was great. I know they may have to deal with an owner who can be capricious but a good rental company should be able to keep their rental clientele happy also. Just wondering about the company. Thanks, Deborah

This is a reply from the rental company regarding tuscanlife's post:

Hello Debra,
thank you very much for your email.
I am sorry to hear about your friends' experience. We actually had an emergency in October 2012, as the entire roof had to be redone before the Winter season. We had an alternative accommodation ready for all our guests, but of course these are not always to everyone's liking. Unfortunately, these maintenance issues can happen, and we always try our best to provide our guests with a fabulous experience nevertheless.

In any case, I can confirm you that the roof has now been fixed and your booking will not be cancelled.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or doubts, and I would also like to extend my greetings to your friend.
Best regards,
Daniela Deger

DebitNM, thanks for the response. Our experience was very positive with the company so I was wondering how they handled the cancellation. It was our first time using them and because it was so positive I've been referring them to friends. Just wanted to be sure I should continue to do so
Thanks again, Deborah

DeborahAnn and DebitNM,

The follow up provided for DebitNM made me decide to give the company and the apartment another chance. I wrote to them tonight.

They did offer other accommodations at the time, but I had my heart set on a certain neighborhood and they didn't have anything nearby.

We will see how it goes this time. DebAnn, your recommendation helped, too.
