Volendam & Marken or Delft?

My wife and I are going for 3 days to Amsterdam the last week of June. Which town is better to visit? Volendam & Marken or Delft.

Thanks.

We were in Holland just last month, and definitely preferred Delft.

Delft, definitely. Come on Thursday, there's an open-air market on the market square and a flower market between the market square and the Old Church (where Vermeer is buried, but don't expect an elaborate tomb!). Tour a delftware factory, eat lunch on a barge moored in a canal, climb to the top of the New Church. Visit the museums Lambert van Meerten (delftware tiles) and the Princenhof (former residence of William of Orange, now an art museum), and stop by Terra Keramiek for a modern twist on world-famous Dutch ceramics. Tip: rent a bike at the train station. Delft is great for biking and everybody will be happy to give you directions. Enjoy!
